Your Medical Plan Administrators
To ensure you can get access to the coverage that you need, you can choose to be covered either through Horizon BlueCross BlueShield (Horizon) or UnitedHealthcare (UHC). The option and administrator you select determines which providers and facilities are in-network, so if you want to stay with your current doctor, make sure they are in-network with whatever administrator you choose.
If you enroll with Horizon, Horizon manages your medical and mental health and substance use claims. If you enroll with UHC, UHC manages your medical claims and Optum manages your mental health and substance use claims. Regardless of which medical plan administrator you choose, you’ll have coverage for the same services and pay the same monthly contributions for the medical option you select.
